Dear Lily,
You enter one photo (A very nice photo with dramatic wind effect and brilliant photographer who knows her stuff) to as many online competitions as you can, then you compare it to an in-person cosplay judging.
The bottom three photos show what the judges at AVCon saw.
Lily you and you cosplays look their best when:
- Seen from afar eg: we can just see your face
- With lots of photoshop
- Needs “dramatic” effects to detract from the hideous tacky bling
Sadly this can only be seen in photos, meaning cannot be reproduced in person
